Stay at the D’wharf Residence, Port Dickson

Going to Port Dickson, relaxing by beach, and soaking under the sun. Sounds amazing don’t you think? Thats what my friends and I wanted to do as well. I was unemployed, so I had the time to spare, but my two other friends made this vacation possible as soon as their work leave got approved. YAY!

Every great vacation needs a few things. Good place to stay, great food and amazing company. The first bit can be tricky and confusing, that is to choose which hotel you would want to stay. Choosing your hotel over the internet is a risky business. You need to consider a couple of things, price, and the condition of the rooms. You can’t do much other than to trust the hotel agencies’ website gallery, and reserve the rooms.

Like most people, I book my hotels via the hotel agencies like agoda.com, and booking.com. Cleanliness of the rooms and especially the bathrooms are my utmost priority. Hence I alway panic slightly when I don’t see pictures of the bathroom in the hotel’s photo gallery. Lately, I’ve discovered another way to check the authenticity of the pictures of the rooms of certain hotels. Hence, I must say a HUGE Thank You to all who have written about their hotel stays and shared pictures of the rooms of the hotels they’ve stayed in, online. After finding a few hotels on booking.com , that I like, I would then google the hotel and click on the IMAGES and pore through the REVIEW section.

Now, after this trip, I feel like I should give some back to the community. Hence, why I am writing about this hotel I’ve stayed in recently.

This is a new hotel. It’s more of a serviced apartment kind of concept, as some rooms have kitchen and hall, and some don’t. The room I took is 2x single bed room, with no kitchen and hall, perfect for three. I booked this hotel on booking.com , for RM150.

this hotel has a beautiful pool area too.. but be sure to bring proper swimming attire as they’re strict with the dress code.

it has a Mc Donald’s and also a Starbucks within a walking distance. There are few other shops and a big sea food shop all within distance too. After having dinner at the seafood restaurant we took a stroll by the shop rows by the sea side and we came across a row of pubs and bistros that were great to unwind and relax among friends..

The hotel also serves a pretty decent breakfast buffet which you can also pay on the spot for just RM25, if your room doesn’t come with free breakfast buffet. We checked out the next day itself leaving Port Dickson and its beautiful beaches with a heavy heart.
